Global Delight announces the release of Voila v3.0, the most advanced Mac Screen Capture tool

Voila, Mac Screen Capturing tool now comes with Video Recording, improved Capturing workflow, better file management, more Editing and Sharing options and a whole new experience.

Macworld Expo, San Francisco, February 12, 2010 – Global Delight - Makers and Publishers of Mac®, iPhone™ and iPod® touch products, today announced that an enhanced version of Voila screen capture tool for Mac would be available shortly. Users will be amazed with the ease with which they can capture screenshots, web pages, record videos, single-click sharing across FTP, SFTP, Flickr® and YouTube™, and better management of their image files and videos. More flexibility has been provided with respect to file export, whereby users can set the default format for exporting their image files and share multiple files.

Recognizing the need for a screen-recording capability in Voila, this version sports a powerful screen-recorder with which users can record all their on-screen activities along with audio. They can choose to record High-Quality best resolution videos of the entire screen or select an area, which will greatly aid them in better explaining their ideas. These videos can then be uploaded instantly via YouTube, FTP or SFTP.

The new version has been designed keeping in mind to provide users with a better experience while working with screen captures and videos. Users can now capture Menu with Title and active web pages from Safari and Firefox. The web captures now retain important metadata such as title, URL, tags and description. With tools such as Marquee, users can select an area within a screen capture, in various shapes to be copy-pasted across documents or other screen shots. The Eraser tool helps in removing sensitive information off their screen captures.

Users can customize their shortcut keys to a Function key or any single key. Create Custom or Smart Collections and view them in thumbnail or cover flow view. The search feature has been optimized to enable search files by name, title, URL, tags and file description. Users can expect and find more interesting features in this version.

The Beta of Voila v3.0 is available for an immediate download and it will run without any feature lock during this period. The final release is expected towards mid March. Pricing details would be available during the final release.

Requirements:

Voila runs on Mac OS X® 10.5.8 or later and is designed to run on any Intel as well as PowerPC-based Mac running 1.25 GHz and above. iPhoto® v6.0.1 or later is required for exporting captured or annotated images.
