- What is Web2 Delight?
- Web2 Delight allows you to locate, view and transfer your favorite videos from YouTube, Dailymotion, Veoh, blip.tv and photos from Flickr, Picasa, Webshots and Photobucket. It allows you to organize the videos/photos into custom collections, create slideshows, export videos to different formats, burn the collections to CD/DVD and most importantly, it allows you to transfer the videos/photos to your video iPod or iPhone.
- What features does Web2 Delight have?
- With Web2 Delight, you can search and store videos/ photos, preview videos within the selected site, perform a smart search, create slideshows from the photos, export videos into various formats, drag media items into favorites collection and schedule them for a download, download a YouTube video by providing the Preview URL etc. As an add-on, you can use Apple Remote to navigate through the features.
- How easy is it to use Web2 Delight?
- Web2 Delight is designed to provide an easy to use interface for video/ photo selection, preview and download from different video/ photo sites. If you have a Mac and an Internet connection, the usage is simply easy! You can have a look at our detailed Help in the application for more details.
- What are the System Requirements?
- System Hardware:
- Minimum: PPC-1.25 GHz, 256 MB RAM.
- Recommended: Intel 1.5 GHz and above, 512 MB RAM.
Add on Hardware:
- Apple TV, iPod, iPhone
Software:

- What types of support do I get for Web2 Delight?

- Why is Web2 Delight not available for general download and sales?
- Web2 Delight has interesting video and photo sharing sites where users can browse and download videos/ photos. In the past few months we are seeing that, some of the sites such as YouTube and Dailymotion are making constant changes on their servers and the details are not available for us to do related changes in Web2 Delight. Moreover, Veoh has filed for bankruptcy and it is not clear about the availability of service.
Citing to the aforementioned reasons, we have thought of not offering Web2 Delight for download and sales to new customers. However, we plan to release an update sometime soon to remove some of the sites which are not offering downloads.
How to use
- How do I use Web2 Delight?
- If you are connected to the Internet, launch Web2 Delight and start using it. You can search and download your favorite videos/ photos and organize them the way you want. Create slideshow from the downloaded photos, schedule the download and more. We have also provided Parental Control option that allows you to streamline the usage of the application for the young ones.
- How do I download videos?
- 1. Select a video site listed on the left side of Web2 Delight application window.
2. Select any video from either Thumbnail/ List/ Combo/ Cover Flow view.
3. Click on the download button.
4. Once the download is complete a 'New' tag indicator is displayed for the video.
You can also download multiple videos by holding down the command key and selecting Multiple Videos > Ctrl+Click > Select 'Download Selected' option.
- Can I schedule the download of videos?
- Yes. You can schedule the download of videos using smart collections option provided in the Web2 Delight.
You can create smart collections to download videos and perform various actions on the downloaded files. Selecting the New Video Smart Collection… option from the File>New menu item or clicking the ‘+’ button in the status bar and selecting the New Video Smart Collection… option puts up the Smart Search Creation sheet for videos. You can also name the smart collection being created.
Select the video site from which you wish to download the video from the Download From pop-up provided. You can add filters using the ‘+’ button provided.
If you select Download Now, the videos are downloaded immediately. You can also schedule the download, by using the options provided. The options provided for scheduled download are On, Everyday from, Every week from, and Every month from for the selected site.
- How do I download photos?
- 1. Select a photo site listed on the left side of Web2 Delight application window.
2. Select any photo from either Thumbnail/ List/ Combo/ Cover Flow view.
3. Click on the download button.
4. Once the download is complete, a 'New' tag indicator is displayed on the photo.

- What is favorites collection?
- Favorite collection allows you to add your favorite videos or photos into it and you can download them at your convenience.
- How to download the videos/ photos using favorites collection?
- To add a video/ photo under Favorites by drag the selected video/ photo from the sites/ search results and drop them into Favorites collection.
To download the video/ photo under Favorites Ctrl + Click on the Favorites listed under MEDLEY on the left hand side of Web2 Delight application window and choose Download option from the contextual menu or click on the Download button available over the thumbnail for each item placed under Favorites.
- Can I schedule the downloads of favorites collection?
- Yes. You can schedule the download for Favorites collections with the option provided in the Web2 Delight.
Place a video/ photo under Favorites by dragging the selected video/ photo from the sites/ search results and dropping them into Favorites collection. To schedule the downloads of video/ photo under Favorites, Ctrl + Click on the Favorites listed under MEDLEY on the left hand side of Web2 Delight application window and choose Schedule option from the contextual menu and select date and time on which you want to schedule the downloads in the sheet put up.
- How do I watch the downloaded contents on my TV?
- You need to have an Apple TV to do this. First you need to transfer the downloaded videos from Web2 Delight application to iTunes using the Transfer option provided in the application.
The iTunes syncs your downloaded video to your Apple TV. Then you relax and enjoy watching the downloaded videos on your big screen.
- Can I Export a video?
- Yes. You can export any downloaded video by using the Export… option provided in the Web2 Delight menu.
Select a downloaded video listed under All Videos and select the Export… option from the File>New menu item. Select the Destination location, Format type and the file name from the Save As sheet put up and click on the Save button.
- What are the video formats available to export?
- You can export the downloaded videos to MOV, M4V and 3GP
- Can I get the original FLV of the video?
- Yes. You can retain the original format of the downloaded video by checking the ‘Retain videos in original format on Hard Disk’ option under the General pane in the Preferences.... On doing so, the original FLV format videos, if available, will be placed under Web2 Delight User Data > Web2 Delight Media > Videos > Original videos folder after the download of the video is complete.
- How do I transfer the videos and images to my iPod/ iPhone?
- You can transfer the downloaded videos to your iPod/ iPhone with the help of Transfer option provided in Web2 Delight. The Transfer option would transfer the downloaded videos to iTunes.
You can then sync the videos and images to your iPod/ iPhone and watch them on-the-go!
- How do I watch the downloaded photos in full-screen?
- Double click the thumbnail or the thumbnail details from the 'All Photos' or from your collections folder and you can see the photo in full screen.
You can also play a slideshow of the photos while in viewing the photos in full-screen. To start a slide show click on the Play button in the play control bar put up when mouse is hovered.
- Why should I update iTunes/ iPhoto/ QucikTime to the latest version?
- With older versions of iTunes/ iPhoto/ QuickTime you will not be able to watch your favorite videos and photos on your iPod/ iPhones or on your big screen. So we ask you to update these applications to the latest version.
- Where do I save the Videos and Images?
- The downloaded images/ videos can be saved to a desired location on your hard disk. You can customize the default download location in the Preferences...
- I have too many videos and photos in my All Videos/ All Photos folder. How do I organize them?
- You can organize your downloaded videos/ photos by creating new collections and arranging them in your Web2 Delight window.
You can create collections of your favorite photos and videos. To create a new collection:
1. Click the '+' button at the bottom left corner of Web2 Delight application window and choose New Video Collection or New Photo Collection from the drop-down menu. You can also choose File > New > New Video Collection or New Photo Collection.
2. You can rename the newly created collection folder.
3. You can drag videos/ photos from your All Videos/ All Photos and place them into your created collection.
- How do I check for Web2 Delight Update?
- Web2 Delight automatically checks for updates and displays the information on the screen. Alternately, you can try a Check for Updates... option within the application.
- Some of the sites give me only the first 100 search results, while other sites give me the next 100 results. Why so?
- We are aware of this problem and querying to find a fix for the same. The limited number of results is due to a technical limitation encountered. Photobucket and Webshots sites have not provided a mechanism to recreate the feed that would access the subsequent pages. So you will find the first 100 results.
- I have downloaded a video and running it in full screen mode, but the video quality is not up to the mark. Why so?
- Web2 Delight does not have much control over the video quality since it is made available as it is on the sites. If the site contains high-resolution videos, the user experiences high quality videos.
- Can I download H.264 videos from YouTube?
- No. This feature is not supported.
- Can I retain the original format of the downloaded videos on my hard disk?
- You can also retain the original format of the downloaded video by checking the ‘Retain videos in original format on Hard Disk’ option under the General pane in the Preferences.... On doing so, the original FLV format videos, if available, will be placed under Web2 Delight User Data > Web2 Delight Media > Videos > Original videos folder after the download of the video is complete.
- Is it possible for me to download videos by providing the Preview URL?
- Yes. You can download a video by directly providing a Preview URL in Web2 Delight application. Currently this feature is been supported only for YouTube site.
To do so, select File>Download YouTube URL option and enter the Preview URL obtained from YouTube site or from Web2 Delight: Preview Links mail in the sheet put up. The Preview URL should be in one of the following formats
http://www.youtube.com/v/VIDEOID
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEOID
Clicking the Download button will commence the video download.
Please note that, only one video can be downloaded at a time using this feature.
Compatibility
- What are the Operating Systems on which Web2 Delight work on?
- Web2 Delight is supported for Mac OS X. It works on Mac OS 10.4.9 (Tiger) or later and on Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard).
- I have iPhoto version lower than 6.0.6. How do I transfer photos to iPod?
- Images can be transferred to iPhoto even with the version 6.0.1 but you need to have QuickTime version 7.2 to transfer it to your iPod. Check out Apple support site on how to transfer photos via iTunes to your iPod.
Direct transfer of photos to iPod is possible with iPhoto version 6.0.6
- Some of the web links are not downloading the videos and images. What should I do?
- Try a Check for Updates... option within the application. If any new update is available, update the application. If updating does not work, send us a mail and we will look in to it immediately.
- Why are the Videos and Images downloading slow on my machine?
- There could be couple of reasons. It could be because of the bottlenecks in the network bandwidth or the particular site may not be responding. Try checking this by connecting to the site through a browser.
- Why some videos do not list in Web2 Delight, but they are found on the actual site?
- A video can have different file formats. Some of the video file formats are not supported to view within the application like Web2 Delight, but can be viewed on the actual site. The number of such types of videos is negligible when compared to the huge collections.
We will support these types of video formats to view within the application, once the relevant method is provided by the sites.
