I use Voila to record video and audio courses on internet marketing so that I can take notes, and playback anything I have missed. and I can be away from the Web to review the course content. Some of the audio courses were very difficult to stop, and playback on the Web, but not on Voila. I can go over the lessons as many times as I need without having to always be connected to the Internet.

If you're looking for a timesaving screen capture application with unusual features, give Voila a try.
If you are looking for a gorgeous, easy to handle screen capturing software on Mac, Voila is definitely the one you should try! It is definitely one of the best screen capture and editing softwares you will find on Mac!
We, at Mac Aficionados, have been astonished by the quality of the app and it's innumerable features!
If you do a lot of screen captures, edit those captures using PhotoShop or other editing applications, then Voila is definitely something to consider to help streamline and optimize your workflow process.
A great replacement and enhancement for your Mac’s screen-capture features, Voila is ideal for tutorials, business presentations or even basic photo editing.
I left an academic career teaching film and communication theory about 10 years ago to work in various aspects of customer and partner training for Allaire (later acquired by Macromedia, later acquired by Adobe). Currently I’m managing training for Adobe's worldwide partners. Screen captures, usually edited and annotated, are central to the courseware we create. I worked for years on PCs using Hypersnap, and switched (very happily) to a MacBook Pro about 3 months ago. First order of business was finding a screen capture utility, and after trying out a half-dozen, I settled on Voila, which I'm delighted with, and on the whole live even better than Hypersnap. I like the image editing tools and the flexible capture capabilities of Voila and use it for training courseware and presentations.

I do a serious amount of screen grabs for feature film pitches and television post production. Voila was part of a software bundle that I bought and I didn't know anything about it. Before Voila, I had just grabbed the old fashioned way - shift+command+4. Once I discovered the power and ease of the software, I never went back to my old habits. The ability to pick formats, do entire grabs from websites and have complete organization within the user interface offered me functionality that I now rely on. I also enjoyed the fun little bonuses of the software - the toolbox and effects. NOW, with the added feature of video grab in the newest version, everything I need is in one place. Between all the updates, customer service and well thought out software, I couldn't be happier.

We use Voila screen capture software to help students see how to use different features. Capture images of PDFs, Word, Excel & other documents to use as thumbnails for document index on client website. We particularly like using Voila for its ability to annotate and adjust (crop, etc) captured images. Thanks Global Delight for this helpful tool and for providing educational discount.

Great app. Within seconds (OK, maybe it was a minute) of trying the demo of Voila I purchased a copy. Voila promptly replaced Snapz Pro X as my screen capture app. The ability to annotate, edit images and add graphic effects in one app were the major selling points for me. Keep up the good work.

I've been using Voila for the last 2 months. Its ease of use, as well as keeping recent captures available on-screen, sending captures as eMails, saving files to disk, etc., etc., are useful since I use them a lot in preparing briefs and notes. I would like to see the image size scaling options in its future release.

As a Software Engineer/ WebMaster, I've to write documents and respond to software support questions. It's been months and I use Voila for writing docs, or responding to software support questions. I do a lot of callouts for annotating screen captures. I would like to see Voila including web page capture in the future release.
Voila allows you to capture objects that would otherwise be limited to the square or rigid capture parameters of most general screen capture apps. An excellent applications for those tricky to capture objects.
You may be surprised to realize that a newly introduced program provides a wide range of features, all wrapped up in a beautiful interface. This may very well be the case with Voila.
Voila provides all the features I'm after. Apart from full screen, window, region, and menu capturing, it also offers an array of editing and notation functions. Arrows, callouts, shapes, and text are easy to add - and text can be edited after it's placed unlike a lot of similar applications. It also supports one-click exporting to iPhoto and Mail.
As CEO of a graphically based software genomic solution for the health care industry, Voila provides a quick, easy to use capture tool. Many research papers contain charts and graphics that require reference to article text. The ability to capture and make annotations on a screen capture without going to a separate program is a real time saver, not to mention the ability to complete a "thought" at that moment in time.
Having used other similar programs in the past, I find Voila to be "the" essential screen capture tool for my day to day work.

I use Voila almost every day when preparing both PowerPoint presentations and Word documents, and I am really pleased that some of the features I suggested to the Global Delight team are now available in the Voila 3.0 release.

If you’re hitting Command-Shift-4 more than once a week, there’s an embarrassment of riches in Voila. If you can’t capture it with Voila, you probably don’t need it .
Overall, Voila 3 is a very solid application. The interface is laid out in a way such that you have access to some pretty great features, but they don’t get in your way if you don’t use or want them. It also allows you to better keep track of your screenshots and videos, which is helpful for people who take a lot of them throughout their use of the computer. All in all, I’d recommend this app to someone who either a) wants to create awesome screenshots or b) needs quick screen videos.
There may be other tools for capturing screenshots but Voila puts a very useful toolset into a lean package that will run in the background without bogging your system down.
I came across this app Voila a few months ago and I’ve been using it since then. I use Voila for screen captures, menu captures for inclusion in PowerPoints and keynote. I train people in the use of software applications. Voila is particularly useful when capturing a small area of a user interface. I purchased a license for its ease of use and accessibility i.e. availability from menu, shortcut key, application. It also works with VMware. Looking forward to seeing new features and some short cuts for undoing a drawing command.

I'm making a lot of snaps from the screen of my NB and send them out to my customers (when sending them a mails with information about a lot of different things which is necessary to comment by screen snaps) and to my colleagues (when "fighting" with them for product improvements) and in both cases I want to be sure that any information which I'm sending our looks great and your software are giving to me that chance. I like its ability to fast process screen snaps before send them out, especially "Edge" & "Stamp" features (that was so great leap ahead recently to phase-in Edge.

As a World Traveler and Travel Blogger I exclusively use Voila to create Titles and Tag lines for the header pictures that rotate as different links are viewed. In addition to the header design I use Voila to map out my long term travels through the "tools editor" by using text, shapes, and arrows as a navigation visual for my readers. Now, through using Voila, I can map out my travels from place to place and use identifiable colors that helps the reader to ascertain my travel path within a coherent fashion. How many travel blogs have you visited and struggled to understand their travel path? Also, I love the flexibility of taking web screen shots and creating dynamic maps and pictures. For any Travel Blogger and Mac User, Voila is a key resource.

I do a lot of screen capturing when creating manuals or capturing software bugs for R&D. I read about Voila and tried the trial version. It is easy/intuitive to use and I found that it is serving my purpose very well compared to other screen capturing tools. I bought a license and using it everyday for approximately 4 weeks now. I see a lot of potential in this application.

Well, more generally, Voila is the closest product to SnagIt for Windows, which we've used for years. There were only two hesitations for us moving to Mac--SnagIt and Roboform. Roboform still can't be beat, but Voila completely trumps SnagIt. One down... We prepare SEO website audits for clients and prospects, showing exactly where structural problems appear visually. Voila, with its versatile capturing options and with a good set of annotating tools helps us do it effectively. There’s more to come and we look forward to using keyboard shortcut to Copy/Paste.
If, however, you’re finding yourself exporting screen capture images into higher end photo editing software, getting a beefier screen capture tool is worth investigation.
Voila is a great tool for those being required to create screenshots for the web, with a comprehensive range of export formats available: PNG, JPEG, TIFF, PDF, GIF and BMP. Captures can also be exported directly into an email, or sent to iPhoto for further customization
