I downloaded Boom for a trial, based on a suggestion in iTunes. I installed and played some tunes. I did not like the sound. I am trying to trash this application but I keep getting the message that the app cannot be moved to Trash while it is OPEN. I have not found any way to access this app to "close" it. Even though I'm noW told the Trial is over. In addition, since installing Boom it has caused freezing out my other source of sound enhancement from CreativeXmod as well as internal speakers, though that is no longer happening. But Boom still remains in my App folder. HOW CAN I GET THIS APP OFF MY HARD DRIVE????? I'm using an iMac with current updated Lion OS, 10.8.4.

Regarding your query, as the error message says, you need to quit Boom before trashing. Though we do not suggest our users to trash Boom.
If you are unable to access Boom via menu bar icon, then please open 'Activity Monitor' and search for Boom process and quit the same (you can search for Activity monitor via Spotlight).
To remove Boom completely from your system, you need to uninstall Boom within the app via Settings->Preferences->Uninstall.
If you are still unable to uninstall Boom, please contact our Support Team, they will provide you with the uninstall script to uninstall Boom completely from your system.
Regarding your query, trial version is in fact the real app. If you have purchased Boom via website store, then you just have to register the trial copy of Boom with the registration code provided to you on purchase.
If you have purchased Boom via Mac App Store, then please make sure to uninstall the trial version of Boom within the app via Settings->Preferences->Uninstall next install a fresh copy from Mac App Store.
In order to overcome the issue, uninstall Boom within the app and delete all copies of Boom from your system.
Once uninstalled, check System Preferences -> Sound for BoomDevice under output.
If present, check for BoomDevice.kext in the following path System/Library/Extensions if present delete it and also delete Boom app, now ensure that BoomDevice has been removed from System Sound Preference (under output). Also do a Spotlight and Finder search for Boom app and delete all Boom components (do check in launchpad too).
If you still have any issues, please contact our Support Team.

I have bought boom sound from the web store before it was out on the Mac store. I recently just had to reformat my hard drive to technical issues and reinstalled boom. My question is how do obtain my registration code if i do not have it. Is there a way to obtain it or am i stuck purchasing the product once more. Thank you in advance for your help. I figured it would get stuck to my ip address so i would not need to re register but that is not the case. please help.
