Voila Screen Capture On the Mac App Store For Just $4.99!

October 19th, 2012

Yes, you read it right! Black Friday occurred a little early at Global Delight! Voila screen capture, which is usually $29.99, is available for just $4.99 on the Mac App Store starting October 19th, throughout this month. It’s a 83% off and we’re running a sale of Voila screen capture only on the Mac App Store.

If you are wondering why this sale is only on the Mac App Store: firstly, Voila is one of the apps in the Mad App Deals one-day promotion, and secondly and most importantly, there are many of you – our esteemed Voila customers – wanted to switch from the site version to the Mac App Store version, as you are maintaining most of your apps through Mac App Store. And thus we thought of extending this sale throughout October for you to take notice and switch to the Mac App Store version.

If you are an existing Voila customer running the site version, upon downloading Voila from the Mac App Store there will be a new Voila folder created in the Application folder. Inside this Voila folder you’ll have the Mac App Store version. Once you launch App Store version of Voila, it will access the default Pictures Library to load contents that you may have created using the site version. Check if all looks fine and then you are safe to delete the site version.

For all others looking to get a screen capture tool for your Mac, this is an amazing deal; just get Voila from the Mac App Store for $4.99 before the sale ends. There’s a free trial if you would like to try before you buy.

The Reviews Are In: Boom Is A Must-Have!

August 24th, 2012

Just last week, Boom launched version 1.5 on the Mac App Store for Mountain Lion and the reviews are already in! Boom is a “Must-Have” 4/5 star rating from PC Magazine, “Boom…Goes to 11″ from TechCrunch, “..let’s users listen, chat and watch on new sound levels that you never thought Mac could reach” from App Scout, and many more. We are so happy since these reporters review apps all of the time and to get positive feedback from all about Boom means that we’re delivering a great experience..

Take a look at what they had to say…

From Jon Orline at TechCrunch: As Nigel Tufnel famously said in “This Is Spinal Tap,” when asked why his amps go to eleven, “You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You’re on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you’re on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there?” Marty DiBergi replies “Put it up to eleven” but asks “Why don’t you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?” Nigel doesn’t seem to get it and replies “These go to eleven.” So does Boom.

From Terence Gaines of AppScout: The Boom app not only amplifies your music library’s sound, the app takes it a step further and offers a significant boost to your current sound across all of your services. In theory, if Apple built in some sort of volume limiter, Boom pretty much destroys that restriction and lets users listen to music, chat with friends over iChat/FaceTime, or Skype, watch DVD’s or YouTube videos on new sound levels that you never thought your Mac could reach.

From Matt Elliott of CNET: If you are often underwhelmed by the audio output of your MacBook’s speakers, Boom is worth taking for a spin.

From Jim Tanous of The Mac Observer: Boom does very few things, but it does those few things very well. Other apps have previously allowed users to boost their system volume, or boost the playback volume within certain applications such as VLC Media Player, but Boom is the most polished and easiest to use that we have yet to come across.

From Jamie Lendino of PC Mag.com: … when it comes to boosting the volume of laptop speakers or the ones built into an iMac, it turns out Boom is a must-have program.

By-the-way, Boom v1.5.1 fixes all the sound-disappearcing problems that some of you were experiencing. The site version has been released and the Mac App Store version may go live in the next couple of days. Thanks for your support!

May 23rd, 2012

Boom Mac Volume Booster New Interface

Boom volume booster does find a place in every Mac out here in Global Delight, just like most of you use it for cranking your Mac’s volume or for setting customizable presets for YouTube, Skype, Netflix, iTunes and the likes.

It’s been a while we were working on the new version of Boom, testing it internally, giving it to the Beta users for a spin, obtaining their feedback and then tweaking it further. We now have the new update [v1.4] released simultaneously on the Mac App Store and also from the Boom website. Following is the detailed change list in the new version.

Boom v1.4 New Features:
- Scroll gesture for adjusting Boom volume slider in Snow Leopard and Lion OS, like the default volume slider
- Frequency markings displayed on the Equalizer bands on mouse hover for accurate setting
- Quit option in the Boom window and status bar drop-down
- Secondary click option on Boom status bar icon

Defects Fixed:
- Delay in the initial audio playing
- Sudden volume drop issue

It’s a free update for the existing Boom users and the new users could buy it for just $6.99 from the Mac App Store or from our Online Store. There’s a 7 day free trial of Boom for you to play with it.

With version 1.2 of Boom volume booster, we added a feedback system within the app’s User Interface. Since then, we have received thousands of comments from the Boom users. We have been digging through the tons of feedback and comments that were received in the past few weeks. More than 92% of you have told that Boom is the perfect volume booster or equalizer app for your Mac! And the rest 8% have showed the trouble areas, feedback and suggestions that we can improve the tool further. We are overwhelmed with your response! We thank each one of you for taking your time to show us your love for Boom.

Keep sending your feedback our way and don’t forget to share your experience of Boom with your friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter.

Happy New Year

I’m a little bit older, a little bit
wiser, a little bit rounder, but still
none the wiser.
