“The Man behind the Camera” - our ‘City Life’ Contest winner
Camera Plus Pro’s ‘City Life’ Contest winner was Bjoern Drabeck. We at Global Delight are celebrating his success by telling his story ‘The Man behind the Camera’.
About Bjoern:
Bjoern is a software engineer, 37 years old. Originally from Austria, he has moved to Hong Kong a bit over two years ago. He got his first DSLR five years back but likes his iPhone to capture those moments that you will never come across when you are looking for them with your camera at hand.
About his photo entries for the ‘City Life’ contest:
When I happened to spot that “City Life” contest, I thought I should really try to look out for nice opportunities, as Hong Kong is a very unique city, with mixed styles, and also with different cultures meeting each other. The valleys of skyscrapers can create interesting lighting conditions, the mix of old and new buildings an interesting variation of styles, and if you keep your eyes open while wandering the streets, you can come across some really great photo opportunities.

What I like most about CPP is that you can focus and metering points separately, and also that you can lock the white balance setting, which is really helpful. The restricted private album is a good idea, and I find that the editing seems very responsive, although I normally do just basic editing. The way the icons rotate when you turn your iPhone is a really cute touch
