To celebrate the launch of our huge 2.5 update to Camera Plus Pro, we figured it would be fun to throw a contest for a variety of awesome prizes. After all, it’s summer and it only comes once a year!

The “10 Days of Summer: The Best Camera is the One With You” Contest will allow you to use Camera Plus Pro in ways you haven’t imagined before.

Starting today, we’ll gradually roll out missions for you to execute. These missions are open-ended themes that you’ll need to capture a photo or video for. There is no wrong or right way to point, shoot and share your creativity through Camera Plus Pro.

Since the launch of the iPhone 4 most of you must have been waiting to get your hands on one. We were too, for more reasons than one. We couldn’t wait to explore the new possibilities available for us to make Camera Plus Pro even more awesome for you on the iPhone 4. With this update, Camera Plus Pro takes full advantage of the amazing features that the iPhone 4 has to offer.

The introduction of the front facing camera was a revolution taking mobile conversations to a new high. Using this technology Camera Plus Pro enables you to take self photos without fumbling for the camera button. With just a tap you can switch between cameras, and capture photos or videos.

Another notable feature is the powerful LED flash which has also been incorporated into Camera Plus Pro. With just a tap you can turn it Off and On or choose the Auto Flash function for photos. The 5-mega pixel camera on the iPhone 4 is amazing and I’m sure most of you are going to love it for that.

Camera Plus Pro is a pioneer on its own merit, being the first app on the App Store to support both Photo and Video recording and real-time Editing, Zoom and Filters for video. Conceptualizing a product, giving it shape and then offering it to the users is a joy no one can beat. But what makes that joy threefold is when users get back telling how much they love your product and how their work has been simplified by using one of your products. We have had the pleasure, time and again, of happy customers coming back to us with samples of their work created using one of our products. One such user is Shawn, who is an avid world traveler and a travel blogger. He writes at ‘A Journey into the Unknown Moments’ and uses Voila for most of the editing work there. See what he has to tell about Voila:

As a World Traveler and Travel Blogger I exclusively use Voila to create Titles and Tag lines for the header pictures that rotate as different links are viewed. In addition to the header design I use Voila to map out my long term travels through the “tools editor” by using text, shapes, and arrows as a navigation visual for my readers. Now, through using Voila, I can map out my travels from place to place and use identifiable colors that helps the reader to ascertain my travel path within a coherent fashion. How many travel blogs have you visited and struggled to understand their travel path? Also, I love the flexibility of taking web screen shots and creating dynamic maps and pictures. For any Travel Blogger and Mac User, Voila is a key resource.

I do a serious amount of screen grabs for feature film pitches and television post production. Voila was part of a software bundle that I bought and I didn’t know anything about it. Wow! That is all we have to say here at Global Delight. 10 Million Downloads in less than nine months is quite a feat and something we are immensely proud of. We thank you all for trying out Camera Plus and loving it so much. First out in the App Store on 1st, October, 2009, Camera Plus was designed as an app that extended the functionality of the default iPhone camera. with Zoom and Soft Flash. Further updates included addition of features such as Video Recording and Video Filters (In-App) , Bing Search, simultaneous Share and more, making it a must have application on every iPhone. Camera Plus made iPhone users love their iPhones more, and taking pictures even more.

With the release of the iOS 4, we have been frantically working on a compatible version of both Camera Plus and Camera Plus Pro. They have been submitted to the App Store and we are eagerly awaiting their approval. We are also working on improving the overall experience while using Camera Plus on your iPhone. Newer features and better performance are in the works.

On this occasion, we would also like to let you into a ‘lil secret. We are working on another fun application, something that you are going to love and enjoy. Of course that is the only hint we are letting out yet. But be assured that you will not be disappointed.
