How to Upgrade to Voila v3.0?
Since the release of Voila v3.0, many of you were confused as to how to Upgrade from an older version. It’s quite simple if you know how to do it. Just follow these steps to get your Upgrade:
Step 1: Visit our Online Store
Step 2: Now that you are in the Store, choose the Upgrade Price corresponding to the Type of License that you have and hit Add to cart.
For example: If you have a Single User License, then choose the $18.00 Upgrade Price and hit Add to cart.

Your Shopping Cart with the Full version price will be displayed. Deselect Backup Disk if you don’t wish to buy a Backup copy of Voila on a CD.

Step 3: Enter your previous License Code in the area provided as shown in the screenshot and hit Apply. Your Shopping Cart will now display the Upgrade price.

Step 4: Hit Proceed To Checkout and fill in the payment details.
Once done, you will receive your Voila v3.0 code at the email address provided by you.
However if you wish to revert to the previous version, just click here.
This video covers the same topic. Here we have shown how to obtain a discount on a special code, however the logic is pretty much the same when you try to get your Upgrade with your license code:

Too complicated to figure out. Where’s the code?
@Obama
If you have purchased the Voila v2.x license, then that works as a coupon code.
As per http://www.xe.com US $18 = AU $21.60 but on your store the price comes out to be AU $38!!!
Happy to upgrade when the pricing is fixed and in accordance to the correct conversion rate.
Hi Amit,
The Upgrade price of $18 USD is not inclusive of the price of the Back Up CD. The amount comes up to $38 AUD if you choose to have the CD. As mentioned in the post, if you deselect the Back Up Cd option, the price does come down to $22 AUD (approx.)
Hi,
I have Voila 2.5 on my computer at home, and on my computer at college (so I could work with it in both places). I believe I purchased this with an educational discount and that even my 2.5 version was an upgrade because I bought Voila very early.
However, I can’t find my license number so that I can upgrade. Can you help?
(A quick second question, too! How can I delete ONE image out of a collection tray?)
Thanks,
Ruth
Hello Ruth
First of all, only Voila v3.0 is an upgrade and all the earlier versions, starting from v1.1 were free updates. Please use this form to send a lost license request and our Support Team would send you your registration key.
Deleting ONE image from the Tray: Simply select that image and hit the Delete button. Alternate method is to right click on the image and then choose ‘Delete’ option from the pop-up.
I also use another email address (jrkarr@olypen.com) but am not sure which one I registered under. Probably u.washington.edu. I am not sure when I purchased and if a discount is available for me at this time. Can you provide that information and my current registration key. Will I get a new registration key if I purchase version 3.0. Can I then install it on my desktop and MAC Book air?
Thank you for your assistance and clarifications.

Hi James,
If you could re-collect where you purchased your copy from that would be helpful. Neither of the email addresses that you mentioned were found in our database.
James,
You could also check what email address you have registered your copy of Voila on your system with, by hitting the About Voila button in the Voila Menu Bar.
Hi,
I purchased a single user license for Voila 1.01 in a MacUpdate Promo on 14 February 2009. I am now trying to purchase a single user upgrade from your store (following your ‘Steps to Upgrade’ instructions). But when I enter my license code for v1.01, I get a message saying it is not valid. I have tried several times. Can you help please?
Thanks
Philip Leeson
Hi,
Re my previous post, I have just discovered your ‘lost license’ form. So I have used the form to submit the email address I used when I purchased the license from MacUpdate.
Thanks
Philip Leeson
Hi Philip
We have sent the registration code for your earlier version of Voila. We have also sent a special upgrade coupon for you to upgrade to Voila v3.0, follow the instructions in the mail and you can upgrade.
Hi, I cannot find/recall my license number. I purchased Viola in the past but cannot find the code in order to complete the upgrade. Thank you.
@Danielle Young We have mailed your old reg. code. along with the steps on how to get your Upgrade price. Do let us know if you need further help.
I bought my copy of voila within the macupdate bundle 2009 an d I like using it whenever needed!
I´m a teacher and Headmaster of a Musicschool. So, is it possible to receive an upgrade to an educational bundle pack (minimum 2 licenses)?
Best Regards
Hi!
I was just about to buy Voila until I saw that I would have to purchase the 3.0 version for $19.00, and THEN buy the upgraded version for another $18.00. Usually when you buy a product, you purchase the latest version. I’m smelling a marketing rat. Is there one, or am I mis-reading your purchase page?! Hoping for a mis-read…. THANKS! Wendy
@Wendy Bradley
The Upgrade option is for Voila v1.x and 2.x users only. For a new user, Voila v3.0 is the latest version for $19.99. So you would need to just buy that and not the Upgrade.
Hi,
I already wrote my question in April but did not receive an answer til now. So herevI am again:

Hi Thomas,
We seem to have received only your lost license request. Regarding your query, we can provide you with this set up. Our support team shall get in touch with you shortly.
Hi,
I am always a little confused about what a 1-user license covers. I have more than one Mac, but I am the only user, and I never use two Macs at once.
With a one-use license, can I install and use it on all my Macs? Or do I have to de-install it on one to use it on another (that would be a pain)?
If de-installing is necessary, could I upgrade my one-user license (I need to upgrade anyway) to a two license pack instead of to another one-user license?
Thanks in advance for a reply.
Paul
