The beauty of developing something good is that you are never satisfied with what you have done, you constantly work on it to improve it. Because good is just not enough. As developers we all follow this philosophy, thus giving you improved versions of the app with updates. We have tried to do the same with version 1.3 of Camera Plus Pro. Constant dialogue with our users has helped us in understanding what more they are looking for and delighting them with every update.

This update features some great add-on, such as:

Geo-Tagging: Add, edit, view and upload your photos with Geo-Tags. You can also import photos from your Camera Roll and apply Geo-Tags.

Picasa Upload: You can now upload multiple photos to Picasa along with the Geo-Tags. This is also applicable with Flickr uploads.

Slide-show Option: View your photos in full screen mode and apply Lock, view the Geo-Tag, Share or Sync your photos. This option enables you to easily Sync photos from the Quick Roll to the Camera Roll.

Manual/Auto Save: The most asked for feature. Users can now choose the Auto save feature to save single photos automatically, through the settings.

Image Rotation and Flip: Rotate or flip your photos horizontally or vertically and give it an interesting outcome.

Few more Image Adjusting features such as Tint and Temperature.

Oh wow! One already? That’s the thought running across our minds here in Global Delight. Doesn’t seem too long ago when we first released Voila. As we celebrate the 1st Birthday of Voila, let us walk down memory lane and reminisce Voila in its formative days, the present and see what it has in store for the future.

The Beginning:

The team wanted to create something that would fit in just right for the Mac users. The trick was in understanding what the Mac users enjoyed doing the most and needed the most on their Mac. Several brainstorming sessions later, the idea of a Screen Capture tool coupled with the ability to Annotate and Share was hit upon. Voila started showing its charm even in its Beta stage. It was featured by Apple as a ‘Featured 3rd Party Download’ and also a ‘Staff Pick’.  It was also nominated under the ‘Best Consumer Software‘ category for Macworld Awards 2009. With a lot of feedback from reviewers and users, we churned out new improved versions of Voila.

The Present:

At present we have Voila v2.5. It is Snow Leopard-compatible and has some great features such as Copy-Paste, Copy last capture to Clipboard, Spotlight, Outline Border and other minor bug fixes. It has found favor among many Mac users and Switchers with its multiple Capturing, Annotating, Organizing and Sharing options and ease of use.  As we are celebrating the occasion of Voila turning 1, we have decided to slash the price from $39.95 to $29.95 for a Single User license effective from today onwards, as a gift from us to you. The Future:

We have planned for a major revamp of Voila in the coming version. You will find most sought after features such as copying an area of the image, eraser, using contextual menus, ability to adjust shadows for the image, new sharing methods, improvements in capturing and more features. We have also included something really exciting in this version, the few features mentioned are only the tip of the Iceberg. So you can expect more from the new version and something BIG!

All of you must be aware of the annual iPhone OS Application achievement awards, The Best App Ever Awards, conducted by 148Apps.
