Capture the iPhone Simulator with Voila

iPhone Simulator screen shot

Developers of iPhone/iPod touch apps (including yours truly :) ) many a times require to capture a screen shot of the iPhone simulator. Especially when you want to show how your application looks on an iPhone; be it on your website, forums, handouts and most importantly to convey issues to the Apple engineers. Yes of course, you can always rummage through hundreds of images over the internet to get the appropriate image or you could just use Voila to capture a screen shot of the iPhone simulator. I’d choose the latter. It’s much easier that way. Voila lets you easily capture the iPhone simulator in just a matter of seconds. With it’s customizable short-cut keys, just do a Selection or Object capture of the iPhone simulator and you are good to go. Further, with Voila, you can edit the images and add annotations; to highlight or describe a feature. Try Voila today and invest your time where it is rightly needed; developing apps.

I can not capture iphone simulator pictures using object selection. I just get always a void picture. I have Snow Leopard and Voila 2.5. Any idea of what’s happening?

    Hi David

That’s not the way Voila was supposed to behave. Can you send a mail to Voila Support Team with details if you upgraded your OS or was it a fresh install?

    Thanks
