Ahh, the March blues has finally paved the way for a promising April. April is supposed to be a month of fun, holidaying with family, partying with friends, awaiting the blessed Spring….. Sheer bliss!

Firstly, yup, we have fixed the goof up! The new update, i.e., version 1.1.1 of WordDigest is now available on the App Store. The new version would be a free update for all the existing customers and the new purchases can be made at $ 1.99 only. The introductory offer of a 50% off will be on till we hit the next 5000 downloads. This just gets better. We will be giving away 25 (Gosh, that is a bonus 5 from what we originally promised!) promo codes for version 1.1.1 of WordDigest! Now isn’t that something?

The codes are listed below. All you have to do to is pick one, redeem it and leave your reviews on the App Store. As you know, your suggestions, feedback and requests are always welcome as it helps us to serve you better and improve the application. Do remember to leave the promo code that you have used in the comments section so that it’s easy for the others to know which ones are still valid

Soon you can expect some nice updates that would add fun elements to the app. This makes us feel like it’s Christmas already! Peace!

WordDigest ,

An Apology.

Writing a post titled ‘An Aplology’ is never a good feeling. Putting this apology in context, version 1.1 of WordDigest that got through to the App Store had an expiry date set to it which rendered the app unusable from midnight April 4th 2009 onwards. We are painfully aware of how much this inconvenienced our customers who paid for the application and now cannot use it until version 1.1.1 hits the App Store.

We have already fixed this issue and submitted the new version 1.1.1 on April 6th to Apple. This version is in review and hopefully would be approved in the next couple of days.

A lot of hard work has gone into making WordDigest a product that would be cherished by its users and it is really unfortunate that an error of such magnitude managed to slip by us unnoticed. Processes have been reviewed, appropriate preemptive measures are in place and now we would like to apologize to all our customers for the inconvenience caused. We regret that this ever happened.

In an effort to brighten up the somber mood of this post we would be giving away 20 promo codes for version 1.1.1 of WordDigest. We would list them out in another post as soon as the version 1.1.1 goes live (we can generate them only after a new version is available). While we do realize that this does not appease those of you who have already purchased the app we felt that we should do something more than just issue a written apology.

Your favorite screen-capture tool has been nominated for Macworld Awards 2009! Voila! What a great news..

Voila has been nominated under the ‘Best consumer software‘ category. We could not believe it when we read the news. It’s indeed a great honor for us that our product has been nominated.

You, our dear customers, have brought us till here, and again it’s you who would help us clinch that award. It’s time to vote, so get-set-go, vote for Voila! Spread the word and help us win this award and tell the Mac world that indeed Voila is a better screen-capturing app than the rest.

Are you thinking about the image above? Yes, you guessed it correct. It has been created using Voila. We have used the ‘image as annotation’ feature here :)
